The Magnificent

This documentary tells the history of three farmers from the cocoa region of Bahia, Brazil during a period of splendour, of excess, and ultimately of tragedy. With references to Orson Welles and The Magnificent Ambersons, it explores the origins and the stages of this decay, capturing the characters' journey through economic, personal, and spiritual rehabilitation.
