The Brazilian Film and Television Festival (BRAFFTV) is a non-profit festival that has graced Toronto with Brazil´s best cinema productions. During this time BRAFFTV has screened over 200 films, which encompassed features, documentaries, shorts and animations. In 2011 BRAFFTV introduced a tailpiece to our festival honouring and embracing Toronto´s diversity, the Pink Latino Diversity Festival, which promotes films on gender diversity from all of Latin America.

BRAFFTV is produced by Southern Mirrors (Canadian, non-profit) and its Brazilian counterpart Puente, creating thereby a dialogue between these two cultures through storytelling and knowledge sharing, and by facilitating co-productions between Canada and Brazil.

BRAFFTV - Brazilian Film and Television Festival of Toronto

BRAFFTV offers opportunities to interact with diverse public from various ethnic backgrounds, educated professionals, lovers of art and culture.

The 4-day festival showcases over 30 films from Brazil and co-productions. The 6th annual Brazilian Film and Television Festival takes place October 11 to 14, 2012 in several venues in Toronto, including Bloor HotDocs Cinema and Carlton Cinema.
